PRESIDENT LUNGU COMMISERATES WITH UK

His Excellency Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu, President of the Republic of Zambia regrets the death of several innocent lives lost in an inferno which also left many others injured at London’s Grenfell Tower on 13th June, 2017.

In a message of condolences to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Ms Theresa May, the President says he learnt with profound sorrow,the loss of so many lives and injuries suffered by survivors.

“As we join you in mourning the departed, we pray that the Lord Almighty grants solace and fortitude to the bereaved families. I wish the injured a quick recovery,” the President said.

“I wish to convey, on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Zambia, and indeed on my own behalf, my deepest condolences to the people of the United Kingdom, and the families of the deceased during this trying period,” the President said.
